Quick description of my live traffic setup as seen on Information Zulu. Currently using latest MSFS version 1.35.21 as of Dec 9th 2023 PSXTraffic 4.7.0 – This is the plugin by Nico Kaan that does the work of interpreting the traffic data and injecting the right model and livery into the simulator moving in the right direction. If you want to pick up ATC frequencies or ADS-B data you’ll need an SDR radio connected by USB to a computer (mac or pc) or a raspberry Pi. You’ll also need some radio software that is either payware or free opensource. For ADS-B data I use dump1090 which is free and probably the best one. You need to also run Virtual Radar Server (free) to interpret the data and show it on a map. So there’s two main brands of Luggage tags made from retired aircraft skins. PlaneTags and Aviation Tags. You can’t find both of these on Amazon as well as their own respective websites. PlaneTags are oval in shape and AviationTags are more rectangular with a triangular top. Both are cool if you can find the type of aircraft you’re looking for. AviationTags are based out of Germany so you will have to pay in Euros and pay shipping or catch them at an airshow. PlaneTags are US based and shipping and billing will be cheaper.
